Changed lives

In 2021 Annalise and her six children were in a domestic abuse shelter, praying fervently - not only for safety, but for a place they could afford to rent in an attempt to provide stability and a sense of normalcy. 

Today they are thriving with Elevate Lives! Annalise secured a great job in the medical field and is completing her schooling to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. She and her children have formed genuine, life-giving friendships with their neighbors and regularly share the amazing ways God has shown Himself faithful to their family. Her growing trust in God is truly inspiring to each of us!

Through Elevate Lives’ financial counsel Annalise took tremendous strides in setting her finances in order and achieving her goals. Because of the work she has done, for the first time ever she can cover unexpected expenses and repairs as they arrive, and has an emergency fund. In addition, her children are involved in sports and extracurricular activities – things she previously could never afford. She has been able to pay off all past debt and increased her credit score 130 points. Because the Lord has blessed her through her hard work and efforts, Annalise gave more to Kingdom work in 2021 than she earned in the entire previous year! 

In 2023 she was able to purchase their first home. “Before Elevate Lives, I never, ever even dreamed this could be a possibility. You guys!! I lived in a shelter a year and half ago - this is crazy! And God is amazing!” 

 Now in their 30’s, Tom and Samantha separately struggled through addiction, homelessness, and severe generational poverty. They have lengthy, heartbreaking family stories – the  kind you would not desire even for your worst enemy.  For years, they believed the lies people had spoken about them – labels such as  “mentally ill”, “no-good felons”, and “hopeless”.  But God intervened to turn their lives into something beautiful!    

Tom and Samantha graduated from a local faith-based recovery program; however, because of their past records, they were unable to secure adequate, safe housing. Pathway out of Poverty and the quality housing offered allowed reunification with Samantha’s children and a stable place where this family can grow. Tom recently completed courses to graduate with his High School diploma, and is working full-time and studying to become a pastor. Samantha is also working full-time and going back to school - a true sign of redemption as this has always been her dream. The children are thriving under the newly gained parenting skills the couple have implemented. They have made a commitment to setting things right from their past, and have already made a significant amount of progress in paying off debt. They are facing life with hope!

Abby came to us upon graduation from a drug rehab program, with the opportunity to be reunited with her three children, but no place to live. With her background she was considered “un-houseable”. Elevate Lives™ stepped in to provide housing and a Pathway out of Poverty™. Abby’s children have gone from having intense behavioral problems at school to being well integrated and succeeding in the classroom.  

In the first three years of being a part of the Elevate Lives’ Family, Abby raised her credit score from 460 to 761 and paid off over $20,000 in debt. For several years she managed a local restaurant. Now she works full-time in helping others overcome addiction, and is making preparations to purchase her own home as a single mom. Five different state agencies signed off on expunging her legal record, which in turn removed many of the roadblocks to pursuing her calling. Praise God for His miraculous intervention and her incredible determination and hard work!
